Becoming a CASA Volunteer
Would you like to make a difference in the life of an abused or neglected child? Are you willing to stand up for a child who needs an advocate? If you are, consider becoming a CASA Volunteer.
CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to speak up for abused, abandoned, or neglected children. They work, with confidence, as thoroughly trained advocates for the children they represent. Volunteers investigate a child’s history, facilitate communication between concerned adults, advocate for services and appropriate placements, as well as ultimately make recommendations in that child’s best interest. CASA volunteers come from all walks of life. A willingness to listen, concern for children in your community, and determination are all qualities that would make you a valuable volunteer. We are seeking volunteers from all walks of life. Though different in many ways, CASA volunteers have one thing in common…they come forward to make a difference in the life of a child.
The Second Judicial District CASA Program is always recruiting individuals who are willing to give of their time and energy to provide children with “a voice in court.” Call (208) 746-3378 or email volunteer@district2casa.org to request further information or to receive an application packet. This program serves the children of Asotin, Clearwater, Garfield, Idaho, Latah, Lewis, & Nez Perce County.
